I'm a very social person. I enjoy helping and being there for others. I'm caring and take my job seriously when it comes to my clients whether it be the family or the client themselves. I enjoy the outdoors and going for walks and of course listening to my clients talk about what they like. I also enjoy engaging with my clients in games for cognition. I've worked with clients who have Alzheimer's and/or Dementia for over 14 years as a Memory Care Director and caregiver and have enjoyed every moment. I chose to be a caregiver because I wanted to have that one to one time with a client. I've met some wonderful families and clients over the years and enjoy seeing the smiles on their faces when they see their loved ones enjoying life again. The one achievement I am proud of is when I took the first step into becoming a Memory Care Director/Caregiver. My life has only been blessed because of the choice I made.

I graduated from Rasmussen college with my diploma in medical assisting in April of 2021, covid had hit and I decided I didn't want to be in the doctors office, rather one on one with a client in caregiving. I am compassionate, caring, and understanding. I am very outgoing and can hold a conversation, but I also know when to just sit and be a companion. I enjoy providing care for those who cannot care for themselves and I take pride in the fact that I have the ability to do so. I care for others as I would want others to care for a member of my family. What attracted me to being a caregiver was when my mother wasn't able to care for herself, (which ironically gives me most of the expertise I have in caregiving). My mother had a motorcycle accident in 2012 which inabled her from most daily activity. On top of that she developed many medical ailments (cataracts, diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, incontinence, etc.). I cared for her until her passing in February of 2020. I enjoy the personal familiarity of caring for someone in their home environment. Being able to get to know them and their family on a personal level. Although it can be heartbreaking at times, it also brings a warmth and special bond and I believe that ecah bond is a personal achievement and those are all things that I am proud of.

I love people, I have enjoyed taking care of people ever since I was Young. I love companionship and conversing with elderly people. I love working with people of all ages! My biggest achievement that I am proud of is my family!
