I genuinely love working with all individuals needing support or care. My friends refer to me as "the mom" of the group. I do not have children but have a background in childcare throughout college. I spent a lot of time helping my grandmother growing up and until she passed. My suffered from multiple heart attacks, low blood pressure, cancer, and more. I have a very positive personality. I am soft when needing to be soft and I am enthusiastic when I need to be more alive. I am wonderful at keeping everything organized and attended to. I have a culinary background and I LOVE to cook and bake. My friends and family often brag about my menu's. I have trainings that certify me to cook and respect food allergies or restrictions. I am so attracted to helping care for another because I feel as if I can really help in the world. My favorite part of being a caretaker is to having the option to learn about another human being. My biggest person achievement would have to be working a Recovery Program. I grew up with a lot of trauma surrounding me. This disadvantage taught me a lot of sensitivity and love. I feel confident to care for others with a compassionate and professional manor.

I grew up in the small town of Mars Hill Went to Early college high school where all my classes are honors based. I've worked in many different Nursing homes, Assisted living facilities. If i would describe myself i would say I'm a very honest, trustworthy, cautious, passionate, compassionate person. I've worked in Home care, skilled nursing and Assisted living settings and enjoyed it. I'm very respectful, professional and Oriented. I know how to assist with physical therapy, vital sings assessments such as Blood pressure,respirations, pulse, weight, and give companionship with activities. I'm well trained in infection control, standard precautions. Airborne, contact,droplet precautions. I'm skilled with repositioning, transferring and ambulation with clients I've worked with the mentally disabled, handicapped, and jeryatric patients. Im also well trained on catheter care, colostomy care, palliative care and peri care. I have worked with clients who are on oxygen therapy, kemo therapy, physical therapy. I'm a decent cook. Hello my name is Ashley and I realized I'd like to take care of people and animals from a young age I have a very loving heart and sometimes it gets me into a mess but I only see the better in people that they do not I'm outgoing I can make you smile and laugh on your bad days beat the shoulder to cry on or the ear to listen when you need it. I think I'm a good caregiver because not just that I care so much for my client but I am ready to go as far as they are without pushing them or nagging them. I try to address myself when coming in a room so I don't scare anyone in said room. I lost my fiance of 8 years to cancel I've had family that said cancer or died from alcoholism and I just try to see the better and people and help as much as I can even with everything I've been through I still have to make sure that people are getting the right care that they need

I was working as a housekeeper in 2004. I was approached and asked if I would love to be a caregiver! I prayed about it and said yes! I felt like God put me where I'm supposed to be. My experience has gave me 18 yrs of many fond memories, relationships and wonderful people have crossed my path! I feel that people cross your path for a reason, season or a lifetime!
