I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. Being patient means that the person understands that there may be changes in plans, things may not go as quickly as planned, and there may be a little hesitation at times on the part of the person receiving care. someone has compassion for another they have an understanding of what the person is going through. Patients often forget to take their medicines or they forget which ones to take, so it's the caregiver's job to make sure that she or he is drinking the right medicine at the right time. I'm a mother of two amazing children. I'm a very patient and caring person who has a lot of experience assisting individuals with their daily routines. I first got into the field through my cousin who worked with mentally and physically challenged individuals of all ages when I was younger. I did that for many years and loved it. I then moved into early childhood education and worked for Headstart and a few daycare businesses. I started working specifically with seniors when my grandmother unfortunately became ill and I was one of her caregivers until she passed away. Since then I've worked in the field and have met a lot of incredible people. Sometimes I have to go from individual to individual depending on the company I'm working for and have always had good compliments and have always been requested back by them because of my outstanding job performance. My kids are getting older and I'm able to focus more on my career now. I look forward to meeting future clients and being able to assist them in anyway I possibly can to make things a little less stressful and to put a smile on their face.
