I love being a caregiver because I enjoy helping others I dont look at this as Just my job when I go home I feel like I actually did something productive for the day. I have been a caregiver off and on for 13 yrs and I love it!

My achievements was working with a lady who fell into depression following the death of her only remaining son, who had some type of rare cancer, but didn't think he was going to die,while she was also in the hospital recovering from hip replacement.I walked into her and her grandchildren's life Three weeks after the son's death. I was assigned to work with her to recuperate from her surgery, but I ended up being like a therapist to the family. And thanks be to God, her depression, was very well controlled with medication, and We became very good friends. So to me I think, that's was my greatest achievement And am always grateful and proud of that .

I love being a caretaker. Not only do I take care of children part time, I have experience in taking care of elderly who are immobile or who just need a companion and help around the house. I have experience with taking daily care of elderly during hospice stages, medication, meal prep and most of all talking and engaging with seniors with the love & respect they deserve.
