I have been working in home healthcare for over 20 years. I am an empathic person who enjoys people and being able to care for others. I have been a safety coach at OSU Medical center, done home healthcare for paralyzed patients, and work with a special needs adult. I am CPR and first aid trained. I love being a caregiver because I enjoy helping others I dont look at this as Just my job when I go home I feel like I actually did something productive for the day. I have been a caregiver off and on for 13 yrs and I love it!

Am a very happy person, so I always make sure my clients are happy. I joke around with them, and do funny dance. It's my way of showing them love and care, No matter how their situation is. My achievements was working with a lady who fell into depression following the death of her only remaining son, who had some type of rare cancer, but didn't think he was going to die,while she was also in the hospital recovering from hip replacement.I walked into her and her grandchildren's life Three weeks after the son's death. I was assigned to work with her to recuperate from her surgery, but I ended up being like a therapist to the family. And thanks be to God, her depression, was very well controlled with medication, and We became very good friends. So to me I think, that's was my greatest achievement And am always grateful and proud of that .

What makes me a great caregiver is my friendly personality, being reliable and being very detailed.I also have 5 year experience, which includes a large range of people from conditions as physical and mental disabilities to bed bound patients to people who just want companionship. Everyone is different and I like to learn what they prefer and make them happy,I enjoy making people smile. I believe in strong communication with the family. I also adore all family pets!

I enjoy helping people and making a difference in their life with everyday needs, companionship, I enjoy baking and cooking. I love planting gardens, sewing and crafts. I try to solve problems, using the computer and like to exercise or walking.
