My name is Tiara I'm 25 years old, when I was 18 my grandmother fell ill and there was nobody that we felt could give her the around the clock skilled care she needed without going into a facility (which nobody would have allowed to happen) so I began caring for her myself, following under the direction hospice had given. I began turning her as needed aiding in her mobility so she wouldn't lose the use of her legs, hand over hand feeding her. Anything she needed I was there and I realized I didn't just like to help but instead it gave me a good feeling to know I was doing more then just assisting I was a companion. She was no longer"down in the dumps" it's a wonderful feeling. I'm a very honest easy going person, I've got a habit of always seeing the brighter side. I enjoy reading and cooking in my free time. The biggest thing i have learned out of worrking with elderly they allways have something teach you so always listen aand pay attention.

I have always enjoyed taking care of people and helping every way that I can. I took care of my nanny for 4 years before she passed and that is what initially made me become a care giver. I believe the most essential asset that I have is I know what my patients experience and relate to they way they feel. I was in a bad car wreck 3 years ago, and I was disabled and could not walk for a year. I was put into a nursing home for rehabilitation and was not able to do anything for mysel .
