I love working with people. I also love making my clients feel as we are family and we connect a special bond. Becoming a caregiver was my very first job and it was something I always enjoy doing.

I been a CNA for 16 years. I'm very caring and TRUSTWORTHY. I love what I do as a CNA . I'm very dedicated to my residents and family.

I have always enjoyed taking care of people and helping every way that I can. I took care of my nanny for 4 years before she passed and that is what initially made me become a care giver. I believe the most essential asset that I have is I know what my patients experience and relate to they way they feel. I was in a bad car wreck 3 years ago, and I was disabled and could not walk for a year. I was put into a nursing home for rehabilitation and was not able to do anything for mysel .

I enjoy working with people an helping them . I feel like if you love your job then your not really working its kinda like a hobby . my grandma raised me an she had dementia an I helped take care of her an my heart has always been with helping the sick needey an elderly. A personal achievement I'm proud of is in raising my 3 precious children .

All my life I have been a service-oriented person-a people person. I feel that this is the talent that God gave to me. When I was in high school and trying to decide whether to be a nurse or a teacher, I leaned toward nursing. I won an Elks Scholarship which I used at Greenville General School of Nursing in Greenville, S.C. I did not complete my studies there but the groundwork was laid. For a few years, I devoted myself to my family and worked at other types of jobs when I needed to work. After my second daughter turned four, I began a Nurse's Aide course at the local vocational school. I was hired, that fall, at the brand new nursing home which as built in Union. While working at Oakmont of Union (renamed Heartland), I earned monetary bonuses every six months for perfect attendance. I accomplished that for several years. They printed an article in their newsletter about me and my perfect attendance record. In 1984, while working at Oakmont of Union, I began classes at Rutledge College in Spartanburg, S.C. During the two years I attended there, I worked first shift at Oakmont, donated plasma twice a week and maintained a 4.0 GPA. Upon graduation, I received an Associate's Degree in Applied Science (the course was called Medical Administrative Assistant). When I work with a patient, I prefer the home setting where I can concentrate on just that one patient and give that person my undivided attention. I like to leave feeling good about the care I gave

I became a caregiver because I love to help and care for others. What I like about caregiving is that u get to assist and help with all types of people. U also get to learn and care for a client's needs. My personal achievement is becoming a CNA nurse and helping people. I genuinely enjoy providing loving, passionate, quality care to elderly or disabled individuals. I watch daily input and output of the individual to assure ongoing success and happiness. I can provide grooming, bathing, dental hygiene, preparing and serving meals throughout the day. I can clean his or her home to the liking of the individual. I have explained treatment procedures, medication risks, special diets, and physician instructions to the individual as directed. I am CPR and First Aid certified if wound care or other situations should arise.
