My journey began at the age of 12, when I helped care for my grandmother after she broke both of her legs. From that moment on, I discovered a deep love for helping others, especially the elderly. I have always had a special place in my heart for older generations, and being able to care for them as a career is truly a blessing. I cherish the stories they share and the opportunity to learn who they are as individuals. To me, caregiving feels like being gifted with many extended families--and that is something I will never take for granted.

My name is Kaitlin! I am 20 years old. I've been a CNA for almost 4 years. I have always loved the medical field. I took my CNA class my sophomore year of high school and immediately started working at the nursing home NHC and am still currently working there. I love brightening my patients days and giving them the best care possible. Making them happy means a lot to me. I have help senior adults live their best life for the majority of my life. I have been the caregiver at my home church, accompanying the senior adults on all there outreach trips. I once lived with my grandmother and was her caregivers backup, meaning I helped with anything and everything that the caregiver needed. I believe that all people have value at every age and some senior adults have a difficult time living there best life because like all people they need support from others. My fiance and I have a house that is dept and mortgage free. We both take life's responsibilities serious and just want to help others.

I have held many positions in the health field. My reasons for remaining in health care are many but the most prominent is the self gratification of helping others.

I have experience with geriatrics, pediatrics, MED/SURG, Telemetry, ICU and INU. I have work in hospitals, doctor offices, nursing homes, home health and even hospice through out my career.
