I'm a very upfront outgoing person. I've been a Certified Nurse Assistant since I was 18 yrs old. I was helping my Mom out with my Dad during his battle with lung cancer. I enjoyed giving my Dad one on one care. I cared for him while my Mother was at work. Allowing him to be comfortable in his own home. After he passed I went on to take the CNA, CMA, Phlebotomy class at Kilgore College. I enjoyed mostly the one on one time spent with my patients. Getting to know them. I've worked in Long term care facilities. Prisons, Home healths, Assisted living homes. I mostly enjoy going into the homes as a Companion. Just giving somebody the option of staying home. Helping them with all daily living routines. Allowing them to still stay active. Giving them respect, dignity. Also giving them all my attention.
What make me be a great caregiver is the compassion and love that I have for people. What attracted me to being a caregiver was when I worked in the laundry at a nursing home and when I would take the residents their clothes and their call light would be on waiting for someone to help them, but no one would come, I would try and help them. That's when I decided to go get my CNA license. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is listening to my client talk about the good old days and their family and watch their eyes light up and see the smile on their face. The most personal achievement that I'm proud of as a provider is knowing that I was able to give a family member love one the proper care and love that they so deserve.
I have been caring for people for what seems like all my life. Since 11 years old I hehelped take care of my cousin that has arthritis and then again worked for her when we were older. I am sensitive to others needs whether it be physically or emotionally. On a professional level I have 6 years of Home Health and just got certified a Nurse Aide. I have worked for a nursing home in Longview for one year. I love the work I do.
I have trained and worked as a CNA for over 25 years, which includes hospice. My experience far out way my training because of my desire to continually expand my skills and training, which adds to my services rendered to clients. There is no illness or disease I have not worked with. I will be a welcome asset to any client who acquire my services.
I'm a very compassionate person who believes our patients should be treated like we would want our family members taken care of. I came into this field because I love to help people. My future plans I plan on becoming a Registered nurse. I believe I can offer the care someone needs. I don't mind being the ear just to listen when someone needs to talk.
I was born to be a caregiver! Over the years I have always been very atune to medical needs as well as the ability to calm a screaming baby that even the mother is unable to calm. I helped care for my grandparents and my mother who passed away this year. I also cared for my daughter whom is a walking miracle! At the age of 11 she dislocated her thumb for the first time...a year and 8 hand surgeries...including both thumbs eventually fused...she was diagnosed 2 days before Thanksgiving of 2009 with leukemia. She is now 7 years chemo free but still has a few residual effects from 3 years of chemo. Some say that I have "divine healing hands" and I love healing people IF they will let me! I have always loved medice and would love to be a doula one day. I enjoy visiting with people. Some say that I can talk too much but I really dont mean to. I am next to the oldest of 6 kids and have 3 of my own. I also have 2 grandkids and one that will arrive in December. I would love the opportunity to be there to help a family with their loved one and give them a little peace of mind and take a little stress out of your life. I personally know how stressful being the "family caregiver" can be.

I am a 35 year old mom of two kids. I they are my world and do what I have to do for them to have a good life which entails that I work a lot! I love helping people and love making a difference in someone's life. To be able to her someone that is struggling, and making a small difference in someone's life or just making them as comfortable as possible, is what makes my life fulfilled and complete. I'm in the process as well on working into going back to school to further my experiences and striving to become the "better me". I would love the chance to work with you or your family and to make a difference if possible
Helping people and keeping a smile on their face makes me a great caregiver. I became a great careprovider when my mother passed away in 2002.
