I developed my passion to be a caregiver after i took care myself of my husband who died of cancer. We then are in and out of the hospital and everyday i saw how sick and old people need their fellow to take care of them and look after them. During my day to day experience doing my job i feel a sense of happiness and fulfilment in what i do knowing i am able to help somebody who needs me.

I graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor's degree in psychology and two minors in human development and sociology. Since then I have been working for a residential care agency with adult family homes and single individual apartments. I began as a caregiver and moved up to a site supervisor and eventually an area supervisor. As an area supervisor I manage eight special needs clients and 25 staffing caregivers. I am looking to change my job and do private caregiving as it will be closer to my home. I absolutely love being a caregiver and I cannot imagine myself doing anything else. Since I was little nothing excited me more than helping people emotionally mentally and physically. When I was in my junior year of high school I had the opportunity to get my CNA license and it's the best decision I've ever made.
