I became a caregiver because seeing my own parents age, I needed to care for them and discovered it to be very satisfying to help people that are in need of a little extra help while keeping there dignity intact.

I started helping with elderly after "raising" my grandparents, who both had Parkinson's. They had such amazing stories and loved to talk about their early years. People just want someone to listen to them. That is mostly what makes the elderly happy. Then later after I retired from my career in Corporate America, I began sitting again. I've had clients I stayed 2-3 days straight to just a few hours a week.

I love old people ,some are lonely and sick.Been there,not fun .I have become a widow and retired ,it is boring.Want to go back to work partime.Love caregivers because helping one another is part of God's plan

These services include companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation, and medication management. I am also highly efficient in basic caregiving tasks such as monitoring vital signs and performance of personal hygiene which include bathing, skin care, oral care, shaving, nail care and peri care. I am also very familiar with basic medical equipment such as hospital beds, lift recliners, wheel chairs, walkers, bed pans, fracture pans, bedside toilets, oxygen machines and portable tanks, and breathing treatment equipment. I am also well trained in lifting and transferring techniques for safety.
