I believe that people should be able to live how they would like to live, regardless of the state of their health--if you're not enjoying life, then what is the point? I been a State Tested Nurse Assistant in the state of Ohio for over 15 years,And Just relocated here in Az in Feb. 2015. My professional caregiving experience dates back from 2011 after I finished my studies in fundamental of caregiving, dementia, mental health, HIV and Aids, nurse delegation, food handling and medication dispensing amongst other vital provider courses. I started and got my hands on experience working in an adult family home taking care of six live in residents for a year. I provided personal care, companionship, and transportation services. I then moved on to an agency that assigned me two clients whom I took care of until they passed on. I was promoted to the lead caregiver where my duties involved not just taking care of vulnerable adults of all ages, but also training other caregivers and stepping in to take care of transitional clients as we found them stable, long-term care providers. It was a post I loved but had to give it up when I moved. I am well trained and state registered in Washington with an active viewable licence online and currently working on getting certified here as well.
