I enjoy working in a home setting as I am an upbeat and positive person that believes a person is happier and more comfortable being cared for in their on environment. I am detail oriented. I enjoy making someones day better. Giving a person respect and dignity is very important to me. I feel the most important achievement that I have done in this field was helping a family of three at the same time with extensive duties and fulfilling all their needs. My other achievement is having 2 beautiful grown daughters and grandsons. I would like to ad that I am articulate about my work and getting it done in a timely manner and don't believe in taking shortcuts. I am also a great companion. I love to read even out loud! I am also good at writing correspondence for someone if its need. I am also very compassionate. I am also willing to travel to a job if it is an overnight situation . I have a food handlers card for Arizona and have also passed an online caregiver course with high score. I am willing to work in an overnight situation or even travel to areas for working a live in situation.

I have my driver license expires 2036 CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid Card expires 2021 STATE OF ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card expires 2025. I became a Caregiver in 1991 when my grandma needed someone, tough me to be understating and caring to each one needs. Everyone said I have a HEART OF GOLD.

I have been a caregiver or certified nurse aide for many years. I like the job because I get to work with a variety of people with varied backgrounds. I like giving good care and making people happy and feel better. Being a CNA allowed me flexibility to work and raise my children. At many jobs I was promoted to shift lead or other positions. I am an on time kind of person. I know people rely on me and I am responsible.

I have been a certified nursing assistant for 10 years now. I have experience in a hospital setting, nursing home setting, private care, hospice and home health. I absolutely love helping others and those who need assistance. It is rewarding for me to see a smile on my client's face. I am very knowledgeable in medical equipment and transferring. I have always been interested in working with the elderly and disabled. I specifically sought out a degree in psychology to further help myself in this field. I am a very compassionate person and I've always loved to help when needed. Growing up my mother had multiple on going health issues that I had to help with. You can say I've always been a natural caregiver. When I was in high school I cared for my mother through many back surgeries and even cancer. Once I graduated high school I became a full time caregiver being that I had previous experience and it was a great fit for me. Knowing that I can make someone else's life a little easier by providing care and companionship is a very rewarding feeling. Once I care for someone it's only natural for me to care for them like family. No one should have to worry about have proper care. Individuals should be able to stay at home and be comfortable and still live as independently as possible with the necessary care. I have worked with children and adults with a range or mental and physical disabilities mild to severe ranging from autism, strokes, dementia, epilepsy, intellectual disabilities, schizophrenia/bi-polar, and the blind. I am also a Foster parent but do not currently house children.

Couple of little trait's I have is being very patient and understanding as I have heard many stores and have applied that to life, I love being a caregiver because you never know who you will meet and always have a new experience medically or just talking to one about life or true history. I like to see inmprovementor impact I have given my patients and know even if it was a little change in my heart and mind I was Big!

I have taken care of many older family members, and helpdd them with their aging and illnesses along the way. Im always on time and love to talk to new people and learn their story.
