I'm a great caregiver because I love taking care of people. The reason I became a caregiver was because of my grandmother and my stepmom. As a young girl I had to help my stepmom she had diabetes. She didn't take very good care of herself and had to have her legs amputated. So of course I helped her with her baths, get dressed even though we had nurse to come to our home. Then there was my grandma she had cancer of bladder so I assisted her with doctor appointment and few chores around the house. What I'm most proud of and achievement is being a great parent, terrific and loving grandmother, and a very dedicated , and loyal wife. My family is very important to me.

I started in the medical field at the age of 16, because Iknew that that was what i wanted to do. I continued on when I went to the air force working with my fellow soldiers, when I came back home I have worked in Drs office , and ultimately working for elderly and Hospice. It is very fulfilling to know that I can make a difference and put a smile on someones face just by being there. Helping people is my PASSION

I am a people person who finds it rewarding and challenging to give optima care. When a person is limited in caring for one self, that's were I come in and help them over coming their disabilities and enhance their self-worth.. We never know when the end is coming, so I make everyday the best day possible. I am very compassionate trustworthy with peoples privacy issues. I am a team player who goes above and beyond. Safety and security are my first and for most priority.

I am a caregiver for 30 +yrs.i love what i do, though challenging at times i treasure my work.i was the baby of 4 my Mom had a massive stroke and as the baby of the 4 i, along with my husband cared for her at home. She was total care and i had 2 small children at the time as i said it was challenging, i reflect on that time as a privilege because i had a wonderful mother and she cared for me as a child when i couldn't care for my self and now it was my turn to return the love and care she gave me as a child.In addition , my husband and i also care for my father as well as both of his parents. As i said before it was a privilege to care for all our parents that is one of my greatest achievements.

I became a caregiver around 1979, always felt needed wanting to help the elderly people of all kinds. I enjoy being around people when it comes to helping the sick. I will be their for them if needed. You have to be patient understanding caring know their needs and provide lots of TLC. I took care of a elderly for 14 years, she was in a wheel chair when I met her. also a heavy drinker. Within that 14years of my caring for her I was able to help her family and the client to make a decision for the client to under go knee surgery. She was able to walk for 6 years which was joyful time for her. Few more years after that she was able to give up drinking with a little of my help. I was very happy to see this achievement. The family was proud to see this accomplishment and thank me for my assistance. This made me feel so happy and wonderful that I was able to be their for them. I am a understanding and caring person when I can help someone that needs my services I will be their. I also enjoy traveling being around my grandchildren, love my church, I love to keep up with my landscape, enjoy exercising, and focus on my health.

Being a caregiver is one of most rewarding things a person can do. The smile on their faces is over whelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. Seeing a smile of appreciation over just a small deed that I do. I like meeting new people and providing caregiving services that they can no longer do for themselves .I enjoy the opportunity to impact clients lives and make a difference to them. I appreciate the change to get to know clients and their families and become an intergral part of theirs lives. I always give 100% and do the best job I can with no exceptions or excuses.

I am inclined to the service to others and I like professions where I have the possibility of interacting with others, I am a migrant I come from Argentina, I chose this profession because I consider it very humanistic and it gives me the opportunity to accompany and help in difficult moments, It is also a profession that teaches you to be humble and value life, to help anyone to maintain their dignity and self-esteem is something great for me. I have enjoyed assisting seniors ever since i was a young girl.I always loved seeing everyone smile when i'd come to visit my grandma at her retirement home.I always knew how to handle situations without anyone telling me,i always knew when something was wrong with others and i knew how to help & cheer them up.My grandma always told me i would be in nursing and that i would be successful because i was good at what i do.When my grandma past away i desided i would care for elderly in memory of my grandma.I am proud that i have achieved my CNA license and that i make a difference in the lives of the elderly.That i help the elderly and their families feel safe,cared about and loved.It is very rewarding to know i helped bring peace and comfort to families and there is no greater reward than that.
