I started in the medical field at the age of 16, because Iknew that that was what i wanted to do. I continued on when I went to the air force working with my fellow soldiers, when I came back home I have worked in Drs office , and ultimately working for elderly and Hospice. It is very fulfilling to know that I can make a difference and put a smile on someones face just by being there. Helping people is my PASSION

I'm a great caregiver because I love taking care of people. The reason I became a caregiver was because of my grandmother and my stepmom. As a young girl I had to help my stepmom she had diabetes. She didn't take very good care of herself and had to have her legs amputated. So of course I helped her with her baths, get dressed even though we had nurse to come to our home. Then there was my grandma she had cancer of bladder so I assisted her with doctor appointment and few chores around the house. What I'm most proud of and achievement is being a great parent, terrific and loving grandmother, and a very dedicated , and loyal wife. My family is very important to me. Give me the opportunity to help your family you want be disappointed.

I am a people person who finds it rewarding and challenging to give optima care. When a person is limited in caring for one self, that's were I come in and help them over coming their disabilities and enhance their self-worth.. We never know when the end is coming, so I make everyday the best day possible. I am very compassionate trustworthy with peoples privacy issues. I am a team player who goes above and beyond. I became a caregiver around 1979, always felt needed wanting to help the elderly people of all kinds. I enjoy being around people when it comes to helping the sick. I will be their for them if needed. You have to be patient understanding caring know their needs and provide lots of TLC. I took care of a elderly for 14 years, she was in a wheel chair when I met her. also a heavy drinker. Within that 14years of my caring for her I was able to help her family and the client to make a decision for the client to under go knee surgery. She was able to walk for 6 years which was joyful time for her. Few more years after that she was able to give up drinking with a little of my help. I was very happy to see this achievement. The family was proud to see this accomplishment and thank me for my assistance. This made me feel so happy and wonderful that I was able to be their for them. I am a understanding and caring person when I can help someone that needs my services I will be their. I also enjoy traveling being around my grandchildren, love my church, I love to keep up with my landscape, enjoy exercising, and focus on my health.

I am Joshlyn. I have been a private caretaker for several years. I have assisted patients with all aspects of daily care, including dressing/undressing, checking vital signs, bathing, personal hygiene, transferring to and from bed, skin care and various other duties. I have administered oral and IV medication as prescribed by an attending physician on a daily basis. I have maintained records of patient care, condition, progress, and problems, in order to report and discuss observations with family members and physicians. I accompany clients to doctors' offices and on other trips outside the home, providing transportation, assistance and companionship. I maintained sterile fields, application of dressings to a stage 4 decubitus ulcer. I assisted patients with basic activities of daily living, including changing of bed linens, washing laundry, preparing nutritious meals and doing basic housekeeping. My love and passion is in direct patient care (one-on-one). I'm amazing in what I do.

I am inclined to the service to others and I like professions where I have the possibility of interacting with others, I am a migrant I come from Argentina, I chose this profession because I consider it very humanistic and it gives me the opportunity to accompany and help in difficult moments, It is also a profession that teaches you to be humble and value life, to help anyone to maintain their dignity and self-esteem is something great for me. I have my criminal record card ready. I speak Spanish, Italian and my English is basic but I have no problems communicating. I originally started my healthcare career as a First Responder (EMT- Intermediate Grade) with American Heart Association CPR and American Red Cross Advanced First Aid Instructor certificates (though all said certifications are lapsed at this time) before moving on to other career choices. Four years ago, an opportunity for home healthcare assistance became available. I enjoyed that experience and continue to work with patients requiring some additional activities of daily living assistance.
