I have been in this field for close to 10 years. I'm a very fun outgoing person. I am a single mom of two kids ( young adults) I enjoy the beach, fishing,sunning,swimming and spending time with my family I got in this profession because my late grand mother had Alzheimer's and was wheel chair bound, I love the elderly and treat them with love,compassion and respect as they were my own. I feel the elderly paved the way for our generation, have put in many years of their heart and soul into our communities in some way and deserve to be in their own environment where they feel comfortable and safe. In my eyes not only am I helping them but they help me as well, from stories of their past to the way the world has changed. I have not met an elderly person that I haven't learned something from. The reasons why I became an caregiver is because I love helping people it provide enjoyment in my life. My grandmother has been an caregiver for over 40 years that is reason why I became a caregiver in the first place. she was present the day I was born the nurse that took care of me and my mother over 32 years old. she recently retired over a month ago after 40 years of service providing clients with care I'm very proud of her. I want to personally be proud of myself I want her to be proud of me the same way. I'm 32 years old and proud mother of 3 kids I been married for 6 years, I have been assistant manager at McDonald for 10 years. I have been an nursing assistant for 13 years I take care of my mother who is ill been ill for the last past year. my passion is helping people that is my passion in life also my purpose.

I have a very easy going personality and that has helped me feel comfortable when I am with families and clients who come from all walks of life. I first became a caregiver while working at Shands hospital in Gainesville Florida, I saw a huge need with my patients who wanted to be at home but was unable to be alone and was also not ready for a nursing home. I would help them get set with equipment needed in their homes and help take care of them until they no longer needed assistance or the majority of the time until they passed away. This lead me to meeting nurses and doctors who would recommend me to other clients and that is how my business started. I have traveled with clients when they are unable to travel without assistance. I would travel with them to visit family or maybe a second home they own and other times just because they wanted a vacation. I have experience with making reservations when traveling, setting up clinic visits if the client has medical needs that would need to be addressed while on vacation. I feel like this is my calling in life and feel so blessed I am able to help others stay in their homes or facilities and be happy and healthy for as long as possible.
