I have 25 plus years of experience working with the elderly in nursing homes, assisted living, and private homes. I am dependable and always on time. I am a people person, nurturing, caring, and giving. I love to help others especially the elderly achieve their daily goals of living a comfortable life by being able to take care of their activities of daily living. I treat my clients as family, and friends and look forward to my visits with them. I have done clerical jobs in the past but, I always come back to caregiver jobs because, it is what I enjoy, and love the most.

My Mother's breast cancer came back and she was terminal. She could no longer care for my disabled Father, so I stepped in to help with cleaning, meal prep, and Dr. appointments. I enjoyed getting to know my parents better until their passing. We had a lot of laughs and hard conversations as well. I became a CNA a year and a half into caring for my parents part time. I was a carpenter by trade and decided on a career change.I have taken care of other patients privately. In the five years that I have been a CNA, I have become quite an advocate for the disabled and enjoy searching for resources to their betterment. I am a married mother of two grown daughters. I enjoy the outdoors and the theater. I have compassion for people in general.. I love to hear their stories and share ideas and experiences of my own. I became a care giver when my dad had prostate cancer, I assisted him to doctor appointments, home health care and hospice. As I watch my dad who was a strong caring provider become weaker every day and pass away in Hospice, I laid on the bed beside him and I promised him I would always provide care and loving support to everybody that I could. I will always be his little girl. I feel good being important to someone, what ever they need..

I became a caregiver because I believe this country was built by our elders, they have done their job and it is time for us to care for them. I feel like if they can no longer help their selves we should be there to support them and give them a sense of security that they long for.
