I have had the personal experience in caring of two special people in my life that sadly had cancer. It was a great challenge that made me more compassionate, detailed oriented, understanding to what a person was feeling and it made me more determined to making them as comfortable, stressless, healthy feeling and pain free as I could possibly do for them. What I enjoyed while I cared for these loving people was seeing their eyes light up and the smile on their face because they knew I was there for them. My personal achievement is if it hadn't been for them I would not be the person I am today a strong, determined, caring individual that has their best interest in my heart. Why did you become a Caregiver? My mother lost about 70% of her stomach from cancer and was in need of a Caregiver. I decided to quit my job at the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and become her full-time Caregiver. What do you like about being a Caregiver? Clients really appreciate the service I provide for them. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? Putting my personal needs and wants aside to take care of my mother during a time when she was at her lowest point (emotionally, physically, mentally & financially), due to cancer.
