I have always been an old spirit even at a young age. I enjoy all people young and old. When I first moved down to Florida I volunteered at Hospice of Northeast Florida. It was very gratifying. I am also a licensed Foster parent and have been for six years. I have always been a caregiver my whole life from babysitting at a young age to taking care of elders throughout my life. Helping others in need.

Hello My name is Toniette Plummer. I am a Certified Nursing Assistant. I have over 20 years of Experience of taking care of the Elderly. I truly enjoy taking care of people and making sure they are safe and get the care they need.

What I like about being a Caregiver is the diversity of my clients, everyone has a different story and background. I love to listen about their lives, accomplishments, family and loved ones. It's like watching a Classic tale of another time and these stories become part of my life, parts not to be forgotten. I love to put not only my heart into my work, but my sensitivity, compassion, laughter,attentiveness and honest character as well. I have worked with some challenging cases like Alzheimer's, Cancer patient's, Stroke patient's and other types of illnesses. I am thankful for the opportunity to have worked with and known my patient's, not just as patient's, but we became friends as well, and I was there when they needed me. I have been a CNA/Home Health Aid for several years, currently my license is inactive, but I still retain all the skills necessary to perform an outstanding job for you. I love to be a Caregiver and am thankful The Lord allowed such experiences in my life. I am a very compassionate person that truly enjoys taking care of people. I became a CNA to be apart of a team that helps Patients and residents get the best care they deserve and to help in the healing process in whatever way I can. I have worked with the elderly in home and in a hospital setting. I have also worked in a pediatric emergency room and an adult emergency room. I find it extremely rewarding to bring a smile to someone's face that are in a health situation when they feel as if everything is going wrong. I love to give hope even in the worse of situations. My personal achievement that I am proud of is when a patient leaves the hospital and gives me a big hug and thanks me profusely is the best feeling in the world.

I am a mother of 3 and a grandmother and i think this has equipped me with the skills needed to provide care to the elderly because as the saying goes "once a man twice a child". I believe I am very qualified to carry out all the duties and skills required of me and I throughly enjoy being a caregiver.

I have had the personal experience in caring of two special people in my life that sadly had cancer. It was a great challenge that made me more compassionate, detailed oriented, understanding to what a person was feeling and it made me more determined to making them as comfortable, stressless, healthy feeling and pain free as I could possibly do for them. What I enjoyed while I cared for these loving people was seeing their eyes light up and the smile on their face because they knew I was there for them. My personal achievement is if it hadn't been for them I would not be the person I am today a strong, determined, caring individual that has their best interest in my heart. I have reliable transportation, knowledgeable in cleaning, disinfecting, medication reminding, companionship, grocery or medical pickup, driving to appts. Many people may find being a caregiver is too stressful, boring, physically and emotionally difficult, or even disruptive to their lives. I however, feel that my personality, experience, training, reliability, and accountability are what make me a great caregiver. I have a willingness to serve with an absence of attitude, and with the patience to weather a patient on his/her good and bad days. Being able to care for someone that is not able to care for himself or herself is a rewarding experience and the reason I chose to become a caregiver. I am personally proud to have been able to provide care to some wonderful people and be assistance to their families, who in return gave me valuable life lessons.

I am a medical assistant. I choose medical assisting because I enjoy interacting with the variety of patients. I especially enjoy working with the edlerly patients. When they discuss their life stories and what historical memories they were a part of, it amazes me. I deal with patient care, therefore caregiving should come as second nature. I have my certifications and more. I am proud of myself for graduating at the top of my class in college. I am a very energetic individual. I love to laugh because laughter heals the soul. I always make the best out of every situation I come across. I have been a Floridian my whole life. I believe this will be a wonderful opportunity to work with the elderly.
