I began my career as a certified occupational therapy assistant. I helped the elderly to improve their independence in dressing, bathing, feeding, toileting, and more. I worked on strengthening activities, range of motion and breathing techniques. Issued adaptive equipment if necessary, as well as worked with Stroke pts, hip fractures, and many more. I stopped working in the field to be a stay at home mom. I've since gotten divorced, and have been a nanny for a year for an infant who just turned 1. I also took care of my mother-in-law when she developed cancer and took care of her in my home until she was admitted into hospice. I have a strong passion for helping the elderly. I find them interesting, knowledgeable, funny and kind. I am raising my 2 girls, ages 6 and 16. I love children as well. I am trying to provide a better life for them. And I hope to someday renew my license as a therapist. I was very sick when I was a child, so perhaps that gave me the ability to truly feel for the people who need help and don't feel well. It is very rewarding and I hope to make a difference in their lives as well as their family members lives.

I have an extensive background in helping people and the caretaking of adults. I worked initially at Rest Haven nursing home from 1976-1977. Then advanced to CNA at St Francis Hospital in Blue Island from 1977-1982 upon receiving by BA degree from Lewis University in Romeoville Il in 1981 proceeded to work as an abuse investigator for the state of Illinois. I have excellent combination and written skills. I have an innate ability to know what people need and have a way to help them express their feelings so I can further asses their needs. I absolutely love helping the elderly and anyone who needs assistance with every part of their life to help them enjoy life to the fullest.
