I became a caregiver because when I was younger my great grandma was placed into an assisted living facility. When she passed away and the few days before hand I saw how amazing her CNA's, nurses, and caregivers were to not only her, but to us as her family as well. I wanted to be that compassionate, caring person that you can trust to make sure your loved one is living a comfortable and happy life. I love interacting with people, listening to their stories. I have great patience and I enjoy making people feel at ease and that they can trust me. I am a single mother of two wonderful children who are my world. I have worked in home health for the past four years and before then I worked in a dementia and Alzheimer's unit in an assisted living facility which I really enjoyed.

What makes me a great caregiver is I'm extremely understanding and very reliable. I was offered a job 2 and a half years ago as a home care aide from my cousin through a local company it was just supposed to be temporary and I ended up really liking what I was doing and stuck with it for a little over 2 years but wasn't getting paid enough. I am trying to figure out what I still want my career path to be to support myself and my daughter. I am in college right now for nursing.

Taking care of people is my favorite thing to do. I am caring, open minded, and extremely dedicated to taking care of people.
