I have a vast array of professional experiences from recovering patients straight from the operating room that have had open heart surgery to caring for newborns. I had to retire in 2004 because I became very ill with lymphedema and a very painful bladder disease called interstitial cystitis. Being severely ill has made me even more caring and compassionate for anyone suffering from any illness. I like to incorporate family into my patient care as much or as little as the family member is comfortable. I believe that God allowed me to become ill so that I could become a very compassionate care giver. I actually CARE for my patients.

My uncle had a bad accident , which left him paralyzed from the chest down , so i would help my gma. I love taking care of people. I believe its my calling. What makes me a great caregiver it's because I care about the person that I am giving care to an glad that I can be there for them when no one else can. I became a caregiver because as I was growing up I had to care for my great grandma when I was in high school. After I got out of School while my grandma went to work an I told her I wanted to help take care of people when I grow. I've learned a lot since I've been a caregiver know as DSW now
