I spent 11 years in the military in which I was honorably discharged at the end of 2012. I completed and received an associate degree in art while serving. I continued my education while being unemployed from the time I was released from the military until April of 2013 and earned a bachelor degree in psychology. A week later I began practical nursing school and graduated top of my class a year later and was rewarded the leadership award. I passed my state board and earned my Practical Nursing license with an IV certification. I have since worked as an admission nurse, hospice nurse, agency nurse, floor nurse, managed a long term care facility, and was a day shift manager as well as a day shift unit supervisor. I recently completed my associate's degree in science in nursing and am waiting to sit for boards for my registered nursing license. I am looking to slowly transition from the facility setting into private duty helping people in their home setting.

I have a great personality, I am very patient. I always make sure the job is complete before I leave or move on to the next task. What attracted me most to being a caregiver is the fact that I feel like I'm helping someone. I'm make sure I leave a good impression so that people will know I am a hard working caring person. I enjoy working as a caregiver and getting to know the client, who the clients or and their life before me. I am proud of all my achievements good and bad. I have been a care giver all my life beginning with taking care of my dad when he was at the end stage of life. I dedicated myself to his wellbeing and provided hospice type care for three years. That is where my passion began for caring for the elderly and those who cannot care for themselves. I then began working at a nursing home and gained my CNA, which provided me with greater knowledge of home care for indivuals. I truly care for the person I assist and go the extra mile to make sure they are cared for in a loving and safe manner. Hi, I am very energetic person, outgoing, love to watch sports,love to play sports, i love cutting grass, I love going out and doing stuff outside.I love being with my family, I love going to church. I love meeting a lot of people. I've worked since I was 16 years old. I have 3 beautiful kids. I had 3 grandparents that passed away. I took care of them all the time. I was there everyday that they needed me and I loved dong that. They all had different kind of cancer. It broke my heart when they all passed away so I went and applied at Costco and got a full time job. Then I realized what I love doing was taking care of people. I'm a family person. I have neighbors that call me and ask if i can do something for them and I mostly say yes. I'll come over and talk or fix some thing. My kids are going to be starting school this August and I want to work while they are at school. God has a plan for me and its to help one another. Thank you

Passion and patience are essential to a good caregiver. I enjoy helping people and try to bring joy to anyone I am with. I always keep in mind that how I treat a client is how I would want my own family member to be treated. I have a good sense of humor and empathy and give my all to each and every client. I have 7 years experience working as a caregiver both in home and in assisted living and memory care facilities. Many of my clients have been diagnosed with dementia but I have worked with clients in various stages of health situations. A personal achievement and fond memory of mine was taking a client who wanted to go to Branson, Mo with the permission of her family for 3 nights to see some shows and go to Silver Dollar City. She never stopped talking about that trip and what a wonderful time she had. She passed away shortly after that.
