My personality traits or expertise that help me be a great caregiver would include my genuine love for people and the fact that I have over 19 years of experience in the healthcare field. I am a certified nurse assistant and certified medication technician in the state of Missouri and have maintained my certifications for about 19 years. I also have several credits earned at Chamberlain Nursing School of Saint Louis. I have a Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration and a Masters Degree in Business Administration with the Emphasis of Leadership Management. I am currently a caregiver for my disabled neighbor and have been her caregiver for about 2 years. I am also a caregiver for my parents. My father is a cancer patient with a heart condition. My mother needs help as well. She is long covid survivor and has issues stemming from Covid-19. The need is all around me. I thoroughly enjoy helping people who need healthcare assistance. I have worked in long term care facilities/settings, not only caring for the residents needs, but making sure that they are taking their medications with the correct dosage and scheduled times. I administer their medication where I have to count for narcotics at the beginning and end of my shifts. I have self-gratification each time that I am of aid to my patients and I feel very satisfied when I give care as well as having a smile on my face to cheer up my patients.

I graduated from union high school and right after that I took my CNA course and started working at Grandview nursing center in Washington. I had always known that I wanted to be in the nursing field. I truly love helping others. I feel that I make a difference by making them smile and doing all I can to make each patient happy.

I Hello ! I'm Janet and I've been in nursing for 25 years . I was a CNA for 5 years and have been a CMT for 20 years . I worked as a supervisor of an Assisted Living facility for the last 15 years .I decided to become a caregiver when my father needed end of life care . The girls that took care of my dad made things a lot easier on my father and my family as well..so much so that I decided to become one of those girls ! I love what I do and I treat my clients with respect and dignity . I believe this type of work is more than just a job . I put my heart into what I do !

I have been a care giver all my life beginning with taking care of my dad when he was at the end stage of life. I dedicated myself to his wellbeing and provided hospice type care for three years. That is where my passion began for caring for the elderly and those who cannot care for themselves. I then began working at a nursing home and gained my CNA, which provided me with greater knowledge of home care for indivuals. I truly care for the person I assist and go the extra mile to make sure they are cared for in a loving and safe manner. I've been working as a CNA during college before I head to get a Masters degree in healthcare. On top of my official training, I have a background in medical terminology and anatomy as well as First Aid/CPR certification. I've learned that I am a very patient caregiver, and I enjoy getting to know the people I'm providing care for. I find it very rewarding to develop these relationships and learn how best to provide care for specific people. As someone who has experienced surgery and health issues myself, I have an understanding of what it is like to not be feeling your best or need a little extra help. I'm very flexible and adaptable due to having worked with a wide range of ages with a wide range of needs!

I became a caregiver for many reasons but mainly because of my passion for the job I love to help the elderly and I am good at it. What I enjoy about being a caregiver is knowing that I am making a difference in somebody's life who needs me and I am making them feel good about themselves while doing it.
