I have 22 years RN experience in medical and surgical nursing in the hospital setting as well as 8 years in home health and hospice. My assessment of subtle changes in a client's condition and comfort in providing care in homes is a bonus to my basic caregiving skills of safely bathing, transfering, and interacting with clients of all ages and debility. You wonder why I am not looking for a RN job? I no longer want to deal with the endless paperwork and little actual client contact involved with nursing today. I was with my last client for 7 years until she passed. She was such a sweet heart, I miss her dearly. I enjoyed getting up everyday to be with her, she became part of my family.
