Active License/Certificates LNA (Licensed Nursing Assistant) License Medication Certificate, Dementia Certificate, Hospice and Palliative Care Certificate, 5 years of experience working with patients in hospice care - End of Life stage. Experience with Dementia, ALS, Parkinson's, COPD, and Cancer. I'm a diverse, trustworthy, reliable, non-smoking person with an out-going personality and positive attitude! I was working in a factory setting in my youth and really was not happy. I saw an ad for a CNA class at the Rochester Manor, so by keeping my job and taking the class at night, I was able to learn a whole new career, which has been so gratifying. The people that I have been able to meet over the years are truly inspiring, and they all have a story to tell, and I enjoy lending an ear.

i like helping others out that are in need of extra help or extra hand , and i do well with others , especially those that are a lot older. I speak a few languages ! I was born in Kenya, migrated here 2004, here to spread love and care ! We all deserve comfort. It's an experience I wanna try and see if it can be my career.

I work full-time as nursing assistant at DHMC for 12 years and 5 years as a nutrition assistant. My 2 amazing children are in the teen. I want to help out my community. I grew up in a military family and we lived overseas as well as the USA. I saw Carelinx was looking for people to be caregivers to our veterans and that caught my attention. I love all aspects of what I do. I love working in the home, and have a flying-under-the-radar personality. I like to be in the background when necessary, and otherwise be fully engaged. I was a babysitter when i was a teenager after taking the American Red Cross babysitter course. I enjoy being of service. I love cooking for people, and making their favorite meals. I can cook vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free etc. I began working in the home as a nanny. I have nanny training and a bachelors degree. Eventually I began working as a private cook for dual-career families. When that was slow I worked as an elder caregiver on private duty teams and gained a wide variety of experience. As I have always had dogs, I also work as a dog walker/petsitter and will do overnight and vacation care. I have trainings in Medication Administration and Alzheimers.
