I love taking care of people ive been doing it since middle school i started then taking care of my mom.its now been 15 years and im also cpr,basic life support certified ive been a cna for 15 years and it makes me happy when i know they are well taken care of.

Over the years I lost all four of my grandparents to cancer. I became a caregiver because I want to help people that are going through the same obstacles they once were. Helping people is my passion. The best feeling in the world is making a slight difference in one's life, making someone smile is everything. When I take care of my resident's and I recieve a smile it makes me feel like I've done a wonderful job. What attracted me to caregiving is going to the nursing home everyday and seeing my grandfathers nurses and aides come in, they always had a smile on their face and it gave him one too. The things they did for him were amazing and I wanted to do the same for someone else's grandparents.

I became a caregiver to help others in their time of need and give the best care possible. I enjoy helping others and also being inspired to be my best in what I do in life and the career I chose. I have been chosen from numerous people to be the supervisor of the majority of my cases, which inspires me to give my all. I have been a caregiver for 28yrs plus, Making sure my clients are comfortable and happy with the care given. I am 52 reside in Canandaigua, children raised and grown, can be flexible with times needed, I have exper. in alzheimers, cancer, stroke, term. ill, etc.. also have exper. with catherdors, hoyers, j-tubes, wheel chairs, bed stricken, etc.., I can clean, cook, shop, take to appts., etc.. I enjoy what I do for others.

I am a very caring and lovable person. I enjoy helping others the best that i possibly can. When i was younger I use to go to work with my step mom who was a CNA and i enjoyed being able to make a diffrrence in the residents lifes. The thing I enjoy the most about being a caregiver, is that i actually get to take time out of my day to meet new people and put a smile on others faces. i am 36 i been care giving since i was 25 well actually all my life my mom died at age 3 and i was the only girl so i help take care of the boys i got a older brother who has learning disabilities who i help care for and in return i learned to have passion for the care for others its my heart and soul i love to serve others it makes me feel rewarded a since of fulfillment i guess. i am selfless as to where i always think of others and put them before myself as for this just job i feel its so good for me do to the great amount of empathy i have towards others.i have never been late and always worked when asked even if its a double i love honest that works both ways. i do however get attached easily and start to love my clients like family and i am very open with them and share everything this is good and bad because at that point i am not separating work for personal life but with this kind of work its hard. i did go to school to become a medical assistant and did graduate top of my class and with a perfect attendance but i really like one on ones not to much into the doctors offices.

I truly enjoy being around the elderly I grew up with my grandma living with me with Alzheimer's as a child and I always wanted to help in anyway I could. Taking care of people is truly something from your heart. I like to help make a difference in their life to reassure them everything will be ok.
