What makes me a great caregiver is I am loving, passionate and have compassion for people and their needs. I became a caregiver because I was given the opportunity to take care of my grandmother. She was my world and when she was diagnosed with liver cancer, I found my perfect world falling apart. I took care of my grandmother up until the end, and I found it very rewarding. Loving her in such a way has given me a special love for people. I love people, I love being of service to others, and do whatever I can to assist. What I like about being a caregiver is being able to give back and be of service to those who need assistance. I love being a caregiver because I meet all kinds of people from all walks of life. I am able to be in their presence and hear the wisdom that is shared. I am proud of finally achieving my bachelor degree after raising two children as a single parent. I did not allow obstacles to hold me hostage from my goals and dreams.

I love cooking and love helping the elderly in need.. I have been in health care since I was 21 . My biggest achievement would be I have been working at the nursing home now for 30 years. I am prn now since I have become full time third shift caregiver.. I do firsts and seconds When they need me to. Love spending time with my family!!

I worked for seventeen years as a home health care med certified caregiver , I have also worked on a critical care unit. Illiostomes, colostomies, aids patients , blood pressures ,diabetics also caring for people with physical and mental disabilities to keep them in there home . I cared for my mother while she was in my home to ensure her care was properly given until lung cancer finally ended her life . I worked 17 years as a care giver for mentally ill and mentally challenged individuals. I was med certified and still have my cpr card.

I love being a caregiver. It has brought a new definition to my life giving me a purpose I felt I was missing. I became an EMT this past year to further my medical education and learn more about caring for others. I am very loving and compassionate with my clients/patients and feel I treat them as a friend or loved one more than just a patient. Helping those who need it is very rewarding for me.

I am an energetic and positive caregiver! My first patient was my grandmother who was a patient of cancer for 20 years. I started my career as a patient care assistant for Bronson Health after receiving a vocational degree in Certified Nursing Assistant and achieving certification. During that time, I worked primarily in home health, traveling from client to client.

I'm a fun and loving person with an out going personality. Working with people is my favorite thing, I don't think I'd enjoy anything else. I love getting to bond with my clients. I have been doing in home care for about 20 years. I enjoy taking care of the elderly and I have worked with the disabled. I raised two children and took care of my grandchildren so that my children could work. All of my grandchildren are in school so now I need something to do with my time. I was taking care of a 94 year old gentleman in his home put he is in the nursing home right now. I did personal care light housekeeping and laundry for him.
