I love being a caregiver/CNA. I've been a CNA for over 25 years. It gives me alot of pleasure taking care of the elderly. I'm a very caring & compassionate person. The reason why I started becoming a caregiver was because my brother just got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I used to take care of him before he went into the nursing home. I'm very hard working & enjoy listening to my clients history, for example where they are from & what they used to do for a living. I would treat your loved one like I would my own with up most respect. I really enjoy getting to know my clients & I feel like they are part of my family. If I can make them smile & laugh then I know I'm doing my job because some of my clients don't have much family or friends & they get very lonely & depressed. My personal achievement is taking care of sick & elderly patients.

I'm very outgoing, I love to talk and make sure there's a smile on others faces, I love interacting and getting to know my clients. What attracted me to be a caregiver was I took care of my aunt while she had cancer and I love making sure they are okay and don't feel alone. I enjoying getting know them and learning what their needs are and making sure they know that they have somebody!

I have always had the desire to help individuals to live a more rewarding life. It is a wonderful feeling to take away someones pain/ worries/ problems. I have cared for and raised five children and worked caring for people in multiple settings for over 25 years. I am on my own again and have relocated to my hometown of Somerset to start fresh. I am anxious to reconnect with the area and love caring for individuals on a one on one basis. Having been an RN for many years, I would very much love to care for people in their homes and treat them as family. I would like to be the extra pair of arms we all need from time to time. Going to Doctor's visits, trips to the grocery store, light housekeeping, general household pickup, walks in the park, general companionship, etc. I love to sew and read. I've been a home healthcare aide for the last four years straight up to my clients recent passing. N I've worked the field in the past off n on. I love the outdoors, talking to people and listening to their stories of when they was younger, it's really interesting! I love taking care of people and helping people! When I help care for someone it makes me feel great about myself! I've done something good for someone! I first learned about home healthcare through my mother who also was a home health aide and she introduced me into the field and I loved it so much I continued on with the work! What I enjoy most being a caregiver is to spend time with my clients and getting to know them and getting to help them to do things they love to do or to be able to help them cope with anything that's bothering them. I love to keep my clients happy. The achievement I'm proud of is that once I take on a client I see them all the way through til I'm no longer needed. My last client I worked with I was with for four years until her recent passing. I do get attached even though they say your not supposed to but how can't anyone get attached to someone they cared for that long!! I care for my clients as they was my own family!! And that makes me proud of the job I do!!

Helping people in their homes , for one on one care that most do not receive in a nursing facility. I am also CPR and first aid certified. I am also a med-tech, and diabetic trained and certified. I enjoy the company and getting to know new people.

I am a great caregiver because at one time I myself needed care so I've been on both ends of the spectrum so to speak.I became a caregiver out of a need but it turned out to be my calling in this life.I enjoy making a difference in the lives of my patients daily.I love the story sharing and time spent with each patient.
