I love making a different in the lives of others.after taking care of my grand mother i developed the ability to care for people in need.When I came to the state in 1985 this was the job I acquired and I have being doing it ever since.I had worked in the nursing home setting,,hospital, and private homes. I have a positive impact on my client I smile a lot I'm open to communicate with my client, listened to there concern encouraged them making decisions if the can and to involve them in there care plan.i give ADL care, good hygiene,,cooked, do laundry, serve there meal but if client needs assistance with feeding I will do it. I do client shopping, take client out for recreation, make drs' appointment and take them to there appointment, medications remainder,or administered medications, reports any concerns to family member who is POA.It rewarding when you see your client condition is improving.Care giver job is rewording when you bond with your client and the built trust in you.

I was born and raised in Sierra Leone west African. I am compassionate, honest and love what I do. I like helping people, and have a big heart. What attract me to be a caregiver was that, my father was so sick , proper care was not given to him I watched him died because there was nothing I could do then. The reason I became a caregiver is because my mom had gotten really sick with multiple things such as cancer, arthritis, diabetes and a blood disorder. It made me realizing that there aren't many in home caregivers out there. I was attracted to being a caregiver because of my mom, she needed help going through chemo and we just couldn't find anyone that fit our standards. I enjoy it because not only am I good at it but I put smiles on people face and make sure they're day goes well. A personal achievement I am proud of is getting my mom through chemo, also getting myself through radiation. If you pick me you won't be disappointed i'm the perfect choice.
