I love to help others!!For 28 years it has brought me joy to know that I do something everyday that puts a smile on an individuals face. I'm giving back what was given to me, at sometime or another we all need someone to care for us so its my duty to give back. Raising my kids and finishing school so i could do what i love. I have been an emergency technician for the past 26 years. I took care of a vast array of patients including many who were in critical condition. I recently left the ER to be the caretaker for a husband and wife. I am responsible for bathing, cooking, grocery shopping, medication distribution, and household cleaning. Its a joy being able to help keep them out of a nursing home. The wife has end stage COPD and the husband has Parkinsons. I am especially proud that because of my efforts they are still living at home. The relationship I have built with them has been well worth it too. The husband has even given me the nickname Christmas because he looks forward to seeing me every morning.

I'm a great caregiver because I'm very helpful and patient with my clients . Being able to help someone in need is literally the best thing ever making others feel better is a great feeling I'm capable to do things they aren't so I feel like it's my duty to help fulfill their needs .

I love being a caregiver/CNA. I've been a CNA for over 25 years. It gives me alot of pleasure taking care of the elderly. I'm a very caring & compassionate person. The reason why I started becoming a caregiver was because my brother just got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I used to take care of him before he went into the nursing home. I'm very hard working & enjoy listening to my clients history, for example where they are from & what they used to do for a living. I would treat your loved one like I would my own with up most respect. I really enjoy getting to know my clients & I feel like they are part of my family. If I can make them smile & laugh then I know I'm doing my job because some of my clients don't have much family or friends & they get very lonely & depressed. I saw how tough life can be through simple things we often take for granted such as walking, doing laundry and preparing food. It gave me a reason and a purpose to help other families as well.
