Good Listener Have been in healthcare all my life (now 73).As an LPN, (Licensed Practical Nurse) I was a hospital discharge planner, a nurse liaison for a nursing home, a private duty nurse, a hospice intake coordinator, among other jobs. I no longer hold a nursing license. I do hold a CPR card that is current. Understand the need for following instructions. Enjoy working with people in homecare taking care whatever is needed. I have seen people who are untrained and without common sense and this is a waste of everyone's time. I like the idea of taking care of things the resident doesn't have to try to do, so he or she can spend their energies doing things they enjoy. That is what I am proud of.

I like helping people and working with people who can't fend for their self. I've been a caregiver since I was a little girl taking care of orphaned baby animals. I am now a certified CNA. I have worked with elderly, disabled, along with mentally challenge people. I have worked in a med fragile home nursing homes and private home care. I have been certified in CPR, first aid and had a lot of training on working with elderly and disabled people. I've had 15 years of experience I've taken them shopping, doctor appointment, run errands, I give baths, help dress, cook, tubal feeding I've taken care of my dad ,he had alheizmer along with clients who had it. I am a semi-retired woman who is seeking to provide care for elderly individuals in need of part-time assistance. I have a background in social work and have cared for my parents. I cared for my parents for over a year until their deaths, and later decided that I was good at it. My clients regularly ask for only me to work with their loved ones, and that is a good feeling. They appreciate the fact that they can feel safe and know I can be relied on to be there and be prompt about it. I have 8 consecutive years of verifiable experience. I will be moving to the East Tennessee area this spring, 2021, and can work with a varied set of needs. I hope you will speak to my current employers about me and my capabilities and my personality. I became a caregiver after the birth of my 4th child when I realized how much I really enjoyed taking care of people. It is such a great feeling to know I am helping someone who can not do it for themselves any longer and that may be me or a loved one someday. I started off as a certified nursing assistant but soon realized I wanted more knowledge and returned to college to get my license as an emergency medical technician. I soon found out that whether I am working in a facility, someones home or an ambulance these skills are of great importance. I am a christian mother of 4 children two of which are grown and two grandchildren. I have been happily married now for many years to a wonderful man.
