Good Listener Have been in healthcare all my life (now 73).As an LPN, (Licensed Practical Nurse) I was a hospital discharge planner, a nurse liaison for a nursing home, a private duty nurse, a hospice intake coordinator, among other jobs. I no longer hold a nursing license. I do hold a CPR card that is current. Understand the need for following instructions. Enjoy working with people in homecare taking care whatever is needed. I have seen people who are untrained and without common sense and this is a waste of everyone's time. I like the idea of taking care of things the resident doesn't have to try to do, so he or she can spend their energies doing things they enjoy. That is what I am proud of.

I like helping people and working with people who can't fend for their self. I've been a caregiver since I was a little girl taking care of orphaned baby animals. I am now a certified CNA. I have worked with elderly, disabled, along with mentally challenge people. I have worked in a med fragile home nursing homes and private home care. I have been certified in CPR, first aid and had a lot of training on working with elderly and disabled people.
