With my experience in health care I've grown to be very patient and understanding with clients and ive learned that with anger and frustration it can only make the situation worse. My mother and I wasn't ever really close until about two years ago when she was diagnosed with cancer, and those two years we came together and I'm so grateful for the time we had together while we could. She unfortunately passed away april of this year and it's been hard for me but coming back into the home health service I think will be a way of me carrying on for her to help others like she helped me.

Hi! First off, I admire the families that choose to hire someone to help their loved ones and not take the option of putting them in a nursing home. I have never been more content or more pleased then having a job as a caregiver. You're able to bring life back into the home, become apart of the family and commit yourself whole heartedly. I prefer to wear scrubs on the job. My job duties for the last 6 years as a caregiver w/ my most recent patient/s are as follows. . Cooking, cleaning, running errands such as groc shopping, driving them, pill mgmt and doctor appointments, I'm knowledgeable in Alz/ Dementia as well. As for the ladies I do gardening, decorating, manicure and pedicures as well as hair. I'm very organized and keep everyone on schedule. I'm a hard worker. I'm cpr/ first aid licensed and am also certified nursing assistant,I will take care of their bandages or any other wounds. I will go above and beyond for you and your family as if it's my own and I'm very good at keeping them company I have learned so much from bonding w/ the elderly. I love what I do. I won't let you down. I have commendable references also! Traveling is not an issue as long as it fits my schedule and it is the hourly wage is feasible. Hello! I am Amanda, you may call me Mandi also. I am 27 years old and the mother of two. My oldest has Down Syndrome and has received 29 surgeries since birth. I am familiar with tracheostomy tubes, breathing disorders, feeding tubes, post op care, Etc. due to my child. I have fallen in love with caregiving. I have a soft,compassionate heart and feel that is what makes me good at my job. I love being able to provide help to those that need it and hopefully place a smile on their face! What's makes me a great care giver is me caring for my daddy right now as we speak he has lung cancer I been there for him every step of Tha way...I'm also very compassionate,loving and trustworthy. I thirst volunteered at safe care helping being a caregiver then when I turned 18 they decided to hire me I worked there for two years with six clients doing meal preparation, medication reminder exercises, outings and bathing. Then I moved to Whitney and started working with Divine Living assistance going to peoples houses and taking care of them also doing meal preparation , medication reminder, exercising, outings and bathing! I absolutely love what I do I love taking care of someone that can't take care of themselves and makes me feel good about myself and I feel like I'm giving back. I couldn't ask for a better life and I couldn't ask for a better job I'm very upbeat, kind, caring and funny.
