I am 48 years old. I was raised in a very strict Christian home and I hold on to those teachings. I am reliable, prompt and my specialty is working with older individuals. My mother was a geriatric nurse so I spent most of my time as a child sitting at work with my mother in nursing homes talking to the elderly people and getting them things they needed. So I am no stranger to caring for older people. I love it too! I am at my happiest when I can just sit with them and let them talk. They love to tell stories a and I love to listen! I am trustworthy. I will not take things that don't belong to me I have no history of that either. I don't get into trouble or cause problems. I would never hurt anyone. Never have either. I am honest and am more than happy to be placed on camera while working with anyone. I have nothing to hide so that does not concern me. I will care for anyone's family as if they were my own.

What attracted you to being a caregiver? I wanted to become a care giver because I love helping the elderly and i feel people don't do much for the elderly like they should or treat them the way they are suppose to be treated. plus love helping people if I can. What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? I love helping them and keeping them in a safe positive mind set and not make them feel like they are left out that they are still here and loved as well as noticeable and not forgotten. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? My personal goals I'm proud of is living life to the fullest and continuing what I do and love the most which is a care giver. I'm a loving, helping kind hearted person and love my job. As long as my care giver family is taken care of to the best of my ability that's all that matters. My personality is what makes me I'm a out going person with a big heart full of gold, good at what i do and just all the round good and best at what i do.

My name is Paige and I've been caregiving for 5 years. I started out being a caregiver because I wanted to get some hands on experience since I wanted to be a RN. I've had experience caregiving and doing home health for seniors and clients with behavioral health. I love what I do because I love learning new things that may help me on my journey. I have been a certified nurse aide for 14 years now, and 13 of those years have been with the elderly. I have through out my career worked in restorative therapy for 2 years, I have worked with MHMR clients and with special needs people, but the elderly have always been my preference. My personal moto and belief is "do unto others as you want done unto you", I take that belief very seriously. I believe one day I will be in a position where I will need help and I hope I have someone like me to take care of me. I try to be empathetic and compassionate with a careful touch.

I'm caring and compassionate, I have a huge heart and honestly enjoy helping others. Which is why being a caregiver isn't just about receiving a pay check to me. To me its about making a difference in someone's life, although it may be a small difference. My main goal as a caregiver is to assist you (the family) in keeping your loved one in their home and happy as long as I can, to be there when you can't and bring you peace of mind knowing your loved one is being cared for. I am a very nurturing and compassionate person. I am patient, and I make a great companion. My grandmother made a career out of being a caregiver. I used to go to her clients' houses with her. I would help her care for them, and it made me feel good to be able to help these clients accomplish their daily tasks, while making them still feel independent.
