I am 58 years old. I have been a CNA for more than twenty years. I love my job as a caregiver. I became a caregiver when I was 16 years old working in A nursing home. I like being able to help others. It is rewarding and satisfying to learn about others and know that in your work you can make a Positive difference in your clients life. I Wanted to improve my knowledge of health care. So I took a Medical Assistant class at MedVance Institute and Graduated with a 4.0 grade average. I lost my Husband in 1994, My sons were teenagers, I raised two wonderful sons while working as a private duty care giver.

I am passionate about what I do! I love being able to help someone continue to live a happy, fulfilled life in the comfort of their home environment. I am an honest, compassionate, caring, make things happen kind of person who is not afraid of getting my hands dirty and working hard. I enjoy spending time with older adults and making them feel special, loved and wanted in spite of their declining or problematic health. I've been around and experienced many different health issues and am well versed in dealing with Drs. and being able to navigate their findings and instructions. But, at the same time, am not afraid to admit when something isn't clear to me while be willing to help find answers. I am honored to be offered the opportunity to help clients and their families. I feel that I'm also able to provide wonderful support in the event that the client and family are dealing with the difficult transition period that comes towards the end of one's life. I have been a caregiver all my adult life. I raised three children, cared for my grandfather in his latter days and my mother-in-law when she fell ill. My clients are long term i am in it for the long haul. This is not my job it is my calling my passion. The blessings my heart receives from contributing to the quality of another person's life are a measurable. I have cared for Parkinson's, stroke, Alzheimer's, dementia and heart attack patience. I prepare meals, outings, light housekeeping, ect. Anything they may need assistance with while maintaining dignity and Independence. I do research and continue to learn about their afflictions and medications to better assist them and their families. My clients are my friends my family.
