Hello! My name is Beth. I am 37 years old & the mother to 2 boys (19 & 8). Throughout my entire life I have been referred to as an "old soul", often relating to & befriending folks over 60. I have always cherished what their generation has to share & what they've given to us. Listening to them recall their past & share advice is honestly the most rewarding bonus about being a caregiver! I have over 15 years of experience, mostly with seniors & working with Dementia/Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, & terminal illness. I have experience working w/ the Hoyer lift & wheelchair (both manual & electric). I do my best to get clients up & around, keeping their blood flowing and muscles strong. I have been working in the healthcare field for 20yrs, and have work and all kinds of settings with many different clients and different stages of health. I became a caregiver because I like providing companionship and getting to know people. I like seeing positive results from my clients and their family. I am proud receiving my certification in Phlebotomy, EKG, and Patient Care Technician from the University of Texas at Arlington. I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I am a mother of 4 blessed with one beautiful grandson. I live in a small beautiful, quiet town of Scurry, Texas. After spending the last 12 years as an officer manager. The timing is finally right for me to go back to what I love to do helping people. Before my 12 as an officer manager I worked 4 years as an Group Home Manager. Supervising staff to provides individuals with assistance and support necessary for the individual to complete personal care, health maintenance, and independent living tasks; participate in community activities and develop, retain, and improve community living skills. Also growing close one on one relationship with my clients. I'm excited God has led me back down this road.
