Have always had a respect and admiration for our elderly. Helping, seeing them smile and laugh makes me smile. I have spent 20 years in the health field arena. Seventeen of those in clinical research as a coordinator. For 12 years I have worked part time as a caregiver, evenings and weekends , providing companionship, an awareness of medical needs, spiritual inspiration, planned activities and hospice care. I have certificates and training in CPR, Alzheimer's, Professional Caregiver Education, Advanced CareGiver Training, medical terminology and phlebotomy.

I became a caregiver because I have always enjoyed helping people and find it rewarding. What I like about being a caregiver is knowing that I can make a difference in someone's life and the lasting relationships I build with those I care for. I currently have 24 yrs experience being a caregiver, mainly hands on experience with Alzheimer's, dementia, cancer, and paraplegic clients. I am a happy go lucky person full of energy and guaranteed to brighten your day no matter what. I do believe this is my calling in life.

I am a very loving, outgoing, positive person! I decided I wanted to be a caregiver when I started helping take care of my grandpa and going to work with my mom as a child. Being around the elderly helping them and making them feel good made me the happiest person! What I enjoy the most!? I could go on! I enjoy walking in everyday knowing they are looking forward to seeing me, I look forward to making their day and making them smile and feel good about themselves. A personal achievement I am proud of would be that since I have started working as a caregiver it has opened my eyes with a lot of things and has made me have a different outlook on life and be come a better person and just be more motivated to wake up and start my day.

I enjoy working with clients and making them happy and seeing them smile when you walk into their door. They know when you are there that you are there for them. I took care of my own mother from 2014 to 2017. She had cancer and dementia and sometimes she couldn't remember who I was. I always loved seeing her smile when I came to take care of her. My greatest thing is that I went to college and got my degree in Health Care Management. Just in case I get hired by someone, I need to let them know that I am allergic to cats so they will know this upfront.
