I began my caregiven duties, with my mother back in 2014, she got sick and I began caregiving for her until she died in 2018, I began caregiving for my grandmother who passed away in 2019 it was a very rough ride for me, I learned a lot especially from my grandmother who was an RN before her passing. I knew then I had a heart for the work and I continue to do caregiving. My specialties are working with the Elders. I do have experience working with the hospice patience.

Know vital information about patient's condition, treatment plan & any suggested activity.. In a capsule, it is very important to respond immediately to patient's call for assistance and/or treatment with the goal of creating a safe, effective environment to make a difference in the lives of the patient & their families. Patience is a virtue inherent in me. I always work above & beyond my duty for the comfort & safety of my patients. I became a CNA/HHA at age 17.I have always wanted to work in the medical field to help others.I have worked in several facilities as a caregiver working my way to become a med.tech,supervisor and cottage manager.I have worked for a number of families as well.Most recently, i cared for my mother for a period of 5 years+, untill her death at age 95 on 11/11/15. Caregiving was something that fell into my lap but found that is was a true passion. I am a retail manager and I have a patience for my customers that comes naturally. My fiance became very ill with heart failure at 38. He was the first person I cared for I took on this challenge with a 100% commitment with that I had to take an early retirement from my management position. I realized this is what I was meant to do all along. Unfortunately he passed away .My heart and patience with my fiance made me realize I can do this for others and have been cargiving ever since. I am very proud and honored to be given the trust and responsibility to care for someones loved one. For them to know that they can feel at ease when in my care is essential. I am very proud of that. It's not just the day to day duties that are important its companionship. It's making the client feel they are truly cared for by their caregiver and that is not just a paycheck. It made me so happy to know my clients couldn't wait for me to come back from my days off the feeling is so amazing!!! There are a lot of caregivers out there but good caregivers are hard to find. Our elders and people of special needs need interaction, compassion, human contact, music, stimulation, conversation not just handing them medication and a plate of food.
