I've been a caregiver for 35 yrs. I started in this field when I was just 17. I love what I do. I come from a medical family and decided at a very young age that I wanted to be a doctor or nurse. I specialize in geriatric dementia and Alzheimers care. Every client needs to know they're truly cared for on every level with love, patience, and kindness. I enjoy learning from them ... they often have amazing histories, stories and lessons to share.I'm often with my clients for the duration of their lives.

I started caregiver interview when I was 18 years old and loved it.

What drove me to be a caregiver is when i realized the need to serve and help others. This passion came when I lived with my grandmother who i loved dearly and as she aged i realized she needed care day by day. I automatically became a caregiver to her, a job I have come to love and perfect professionally. My reliability, patience, privacy, respect and hard work are some of my personality traits that drives me to ensure I cultivate a closer bond and be a great caregiver. seeing the satisfaction that is derived from my caregiving, gives me joy and motivates me to do my best. Psychologically and emotionally I get a blissful feeling when I know someone else has benefited from a helpful hand of care and love.

I am very friendly outgoing and love to have conversations . I'm looking to be of service to be a caregiver. I've done it for years off and on and I love taking care of a variety of different people I love the different personalities. Ever since I was little I knew I wanted to take care of people and make a difference in someones life.

I am excited to be considered for the open position of caretaker that this company has posed. Over my long career in the maintenance. I began working in caretaking more than three years ago, during which time I have advanced to hold more sophisticated. I became a caregiver, because I saw how much a home health aide helped my grandmother through her cancer, it inspired me to help others and give back to the community. I am currently a full-time student athlete at the University of Cal State LA. I enjoyed being a caregiver because it gives you the opportunity to learn about people, and their different backgrounds. My biggest achievement thus far would be me starting a mental health group at my university and letting thousands of students talk to me when things are rough. I went through depression and once I was okay I realized how many people suffer in silence and it was my duty to help bring awareness and make sure students had the resources to keep a good state of mind.In my current position, I maintain an efficient and organized work mentality as I assist in the care of several patients, dealing with mental health illnesses, chronic diseases, dementia, Alzheimer's, disabilities and etc. I have a knack for problem solving and work well independently and with little oversight. I am compassionate, outgoing, and resourceful. I am a self-starter and excel at housekeeping, engaging clients with light activities, and meal preparation. I am familiar with caregiver protocols and learn new procedures quickly. I hope to contribute to your patient care goals.

Graduating from LVN school next month. Looking for work that further my experience with nursing until I take nclex

I am a health care aid with 12 year experience as a caregiver. I have worked with dementia patients as well as patients with other mental and physical disabilities. Very caring and compassionate with others. I am understanding of patient's needs and willing to do whatever it takes to make them as comfortable as possible. I myself had the experience of difficult situations and my goal is to satisfy patient's needs. I am currently enrolled in school to get into the nursing field. I love the medical field and am always willing to learn more. I understand and have empathy for family members as well as patients as this can be a difficult time for both.
