I first learned that I enjoyed patient-care back when I was a medical assistant in a private practice. I enjoyed learning and caring for others. I became a personal caregiver in 2005, and since then I have been able to assist many individuals and their families. I have found that my love for patient care today is done at a more personal level because every individual that I have assisted has their own personal needs; some need help with recovery, while others just need comforting and care through their aging process. By assisting patients in their home, to keep their routines, help them with medications, or just the in the simple act of being a good listener, I have found makes the world of difference to them--I am happy to have made a difference in someone's life. Hello everyone! My name is Carter and I am 22 years old. I am a future nursing student as my cohort has not started quite yet! I have a degree in psychology that emphasizes mental health from the University of New Hampshire. Since I was a kid I have wanted to be apart of the medical field as I was born with a skin condition that severely limited my quality of life as a child. With surgery I was able to overcome these limitations! I have since had the ambition to be able to give that same level of care that I received as a child to someone else in need.

I am kind, respectful and patient. Aside from having a degree in Nursing, I find it fulfilling to help people. I enjoy helping people and being able to make them smile and to make them feel that they are being cared for. Becoming a Registered Nurse in the Philippinesa and worked as a Fireman and being able to have helped and rescued many people are my personal achievements.

I became a caregiver to help others whom are in need of an extra hand even if its just as simple as going for a walk with them or putting a smile on their faces . I studied and took a course to become a Certified Nurse Assistant in summer of 2020 and gained experience in skilled nursing facility. Which brought many skills and many challenges . I worked with many different type of people and their needs . over all I have experienced working with Adults and Children .
