I became a caregiver/certified nursing assistant for the love of caring for patients/people, in need, in the medical field. It's very important to me to give my best to the well-being of those in need of health care. There are many facets to care: personal, emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual. I believe in care with dignity, honesty, and respect. Even the cleanliness of living space and good nutrition is vital to good health. I treat those in my care as if they were my own family member.
I was a CHHA for 5 years before working nights in the ICU at DKH for 12.5 years. Following that employment, I am now working nights for the past 6 years with WBH in the telemetry unit. I am skilled not only in nursing care, but also in the ability to recognize significant changes in someone's health status that would be indicative of immediate medical attention.
I am a CNA, updated in certification, as well as CPR certified.
I look forward to meeting you and together assuring the best in care giving to your loved one.
All my career has been focused on serving human being, and this is what I like to do. I have a Bachelor in Medicine from my home country: Mali School of Medicine, and a Master of Science in Public Health from George Washington University. I have more than 10 years of hands-on experience in providing direct care services to adult with developmental disabilities and the elderly. Besides providing direct care to my client, I like to engage with them, take them out into the community, and many other recreational activity places they would like to go to. As far as for my personal achievement, I am proud of having been able to earn a master's degree in a country where English is not my first language, overcome cultural and language barriers, and adapt to a system that was new to me. I am ongoing, and friendly, and I always work hard to make a difference in the life of others. Hi, I'm Erin!
I've been in the healthcare field for the past 9 years, beginning my career as a Medical Assistant. I've grown throughout the years and I have acquired a passion for helping others, especially the elderly. No matter the need, I will be there for you or your loved one. I can provide a listening ear, help with meal prep, toileting, household chores, and much more. The thing I most enjoy about being a caregiver is that I can provide the family with the help needed to ensure that their loved one is being taken care of properly. Whatever you may need, I am a call away, and will be as communicative as possible with you.
