My patience makes me a great caregiver. The bonds you have with your patients attracted me to becoming a caregiver. I enjoy helping people in general, being a great company, and putting smiles on my patients face.

I truly enjoy taking care of people, young or old. I grew up the oldest of 3 children. So at a very young age, I was taught to take care of my brother & siste. From there, it was taking care of Grandma, multiple Aunts & Uncles, plus Cousins, I've been doing it my whole life. When I was married, I cared for my husband's elderly Grandparents who had dementia & Alzheimer's. I've cared for a number of folks in the Augusta area over the years. I recently went to Atlanta to take care of my Aunt, who is 91 years old, for 10 days, while my Cousin took a vacation to Greece. We had the best time looking at pictures from the old days. I believe that when an old person dies a whole library disappears. I'm Old School. I have a compassionate heart. I know what it's like to feel forgotten & unimportant. If I can just make one person feel needed, then my job is done.

My goal is to give care to the one you love helping your love one's to get back to good health.

First I am a christian mother of three beautiful children with over 20 years of caregiving to those with intellectual disabilities. I enjoy volunteering to help support others in need. What attracted me to provide care to those who are unable to care for themselves is the way society has dismissed the population of this special community in need of this service of hospitality and care. I enjoy this area of care because we will all need help at some point in life, whether it is now or later. When I care for another individual, I do it the right way the first time, and I do it with pride. Most importantly, I care for others the way God would want me to care for my neighbor. A personal achievement I am most proud of is accomplishing and furthering my education to the highest degree possibly as a single mother when society did not believe I could.

I have a strong passion for helping others, I'm a natural nurturer, and enjoy the companionship that being a caregiver brings. I have several years of experience, both in a facility and in the comfort of their own home. I am cpr, first aid, and cert certified, I also received my CNA license in high school but have unfortunately let it expire. I plan on renewing it asap.

I am a patient care assistant with BLS Provider & Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED certification. I first began in the healthcare field 4 years ago with my handicap grandmother who was diagnosed with breast cancer & dementia with a history of diabetes & several strokes. I love being a blessing for those who are less fortunate & need assistance in order to complete normal everyday tasks, but I feel like they are an even bigger blessing to me, knowing that I'm making a difference in their lives as a companion, friend, & caretaker. After the interview process, I no longer consider my clients as patients... They become my family. I am seeking to find a live in caregiving opportunity for someone who I can put my heart into and give my full assistance.
