I have much fulfillment in taking care of people. I knew since a very young age a career in serving others was my passion. Patience and understanding are the two main characteristics I live my because we all need it. When I can make someone's day by helping it gives me a sense of inner satisfaction.

I became a caregiver because i like working with people and making a difference to their lives. I am a good listener and believes that good communication with my co workers and the family member is the key to success.I respect my work and likes to make people feel happy with my services. I am easily adjustable to a new environment and willing to learn more new skills. I am hard working and do not like being late to work and i have cared for the seniors mostly for 9 years and i feel that i have full experience to work as a caregiver.

I like to help people who doesn't have the ability to help themselves. When I see the elders I am picturing my mother. I like giving them care, I also like to see them going to the next level while I'm with them. I'm a married woman I have four children and two grandchildren.

I became a can in 1991 lookin for a different career path then . worked in nursing rehabilitation home for 3 years learned so much . I did work in for agencies for in home visits as well for the next 7 years. I continued my education in Georgia to become a cma certified medical assistant. I have recently taken a can course at Cumberland health center . recertified can cpr/ first aid .

Hello my name is Ravette Pickens im 35yrs old from Cincinnati ohio. I live in Douglas county . I am married with a 14yr old son and im the oldest of 7 so im pretty much use to being the person others depend on and leaning on me for support. I started out in the health field in 2008 working with the disabled people.. From the ages of 5 and up. I worked with people With autism I work with people with behavior issues, CP cervical, to people with diabetes cancer Strokes Alzheimer dementia I work with people with catheters G tubes pretty much all the above I love what I do I started out as just a support provider and now I'm a Certified nursing assistant, now currently state certified Patient Care Tech, I am currently in school for Radiology Tech. I definitely love my health career and plan on staying in this field for a while

I became a caregiver to help people feel more independent while in there own home .I love being a caregiver because the look on clients face when you make them feel independent is priceless. As a caregiver I have experience in med reminders, bathing, dressing, transferring, speech & memory exercise, doctor visits, light cleaning, cooking, and running errands. I understand and respect the elderly as they have loss of memory and physical difficulties. I was a medical assistant with the same doctor for over 12 years and I have experience in vitals, bandaging wounds, and caring for ill patients. I am a volunteer and work for the school system and had my national background/fingerprints completed. I cared for my mother for many years who was a heart patient and diabetic. .

I' m trustworthy, calm, willing to help and patient. That's what makes me a great caregiver. Just being of service to others is what attracts me to being a caregiver. I enjoy meeting others. Especially the elderly being that I'm too of age.

I am upbeat and very friendly! I'm very compassionate and patient. Some things I feel that makes me a great caregiver is my integrity, punctuality, reliability, and my ability to observe and learn my clients pretty quickly. What attracts me to being a caregiver in particularly is I am passionate about helping the elderly because I've witnessed the negligence that elder people endure. It's very heartbreaking to see, so being that one good caregiver who is able to give the care I wish to receive for myself and my loved ones, if ever needed, makes a difference for me. What I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is seeing the smiles and laughs on my clients faces, it makes me feel good and like I'm doing something right. A personal achievement I am very proud of is being a strong advocator for my clients who can't advocate for themselves. For example, I have a client who is cognitive impaired and is living in a nursing facility. On several occasions I've stopped nurses from giving her the wrong medications, amongst other things. I can honestly say I really love what I do, and I love and care for my clients like they are family!
