I've been a caregiver for 15 years now I'm in school to get my doctrines degree as a nurse practitioner. What attracts me of being a caregiver I care about taking care of others not only that it lets me take care of others, but I get to know how to take care of myself and my family and friends I enjoy the conversations I have with my clients. I'm proud of pursuing my education even further.

I have much fulfillment in taking care of people. I knew since a very young age a career in serving others was my passion. Hello my name is Ravette Pickens im 35yrs old from Cincinnati ohio. I live in Douglas county . I am married with a 14yr old son and im the oldest of 7 so im pretty much use to being the person others depend on and leaning on me for support. I started out in the health field in 2008 working with the disabled people.. From the ages of 5 and up. I worked with people With autism I work with people with behavior issues, CP cervical, to people with diabetes cancer Strokes Alzheimer dementia I work with people with catheters G tubes pretty much all the above I love what I do I started out as just a support provider and now I'm a Certified nursing assistant, now currently state certified Patient Care Tech, I am currently in school for Radiology Tech. I definitely love my health career and plan on staying in this field for a while

Becoming a caregiver has been my pride and joy. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping others. One of My most personal achievements has been becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant. Being a Nursing Assistant is my passion. I have enjoyed the path am on, giving essential care and helping with day-day needs. I have worked in-home care for 18 years, Over the years I have gained insight and hands-on experience in Geriatric Care, Oncology, Dementia, Strokes, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's disease. I enjoy taking my clients out on social outings, grocery shopping, lunch, errands, etc. I Am also able to provide dependable transportation to and from doctor appointments. I have experience in being an advocate for my clients at doctor appointments. I can fill in the gaps between the Doctor My client and family members in regards to communication and Care plan. I really enjoy being a caregiver a job that your able to make a difference in a clients everyday living. a relationship you just cant explain with your client or patient depends on level of care. I became a can in 1991 lookin for a different career path then . worked in nursing rehabilitation home for 3 years learned so much . I did work in for agencies for in home visits as well for the next 7 years. I continued my education in Georgia to become a cma certified medical assistant. I have recently taken a can course at Cumberland health center . recertified can cpr/ first aid .
