What makes me a good caregiver is I take pride in my work, I take care of your loved ones just as you would expect. I see my clients as I would my own family. What attracted me to become a caregiver the last 6 years is when I was little girl my grandmother needed more help around the house and full filling her regular routine. Growing up my father needed the same help as he was bed bound I refused to let him go to a nursing home so I made sure to help him in anyway I could. The main thing that I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing that families loved ones are being taken care of and not being neglected or abused. It makes me feel whole that I can bring light back into someone's life wether it be just providing companionship or making my clients feel they are not alone. One of my biggest personal achievements I am proud of would be being a mom, taking care of my kids and also having the extra passion to take care of someone else warms my heart.

2 years as a caregiver

I love helping people. I started off an assisted living, then went and got my CNA. I have done homecare, worked in both hospitals and even a few nursing homes. I love the interaction with people and learning different things. I love the joy I give people helping them. It makes me feel good as a person.

I enjoy taking care of elderly and handicapped people I enjoy being able to keep them in there homes as much as I can. Seeing the people happy to see me every time I show up to help them . Taking care of my own father when he was ill.

Hi my name is Saunja I'm 42 years old. I been a professional caregiver for 20 years now. I started at the age of 14 taking care of a elderly lady. I graduated high school and started taking classes for teachers aid. I felt taking care of children and elderly ppl was truly my calling. I stop school to become a C.N.A. I did this for 4 years, then open up a home daycare. I did daycare for 4 years then went to school for massage thearphy. I graduated and started doing private massages in ppl home. I felt like I was missing what I love to do, take care of the elderly. I took full custody of my niece who has a disability. I went back to doing C.N.A. I been on one of my job 5 years and thee other 10. I am a mother of 3 and have two loving grandchildren. My life is to give and help those who can't help them self.
