Hi my name is Ayla Campos. Some traits that make me a great caregiver are that I'm beyond caring and focused on helping people with their everyday needs. It's definitely one of the most rewarding jobs I've had. I've known since I was little that I wanted to do anything that helped others. I've always loved being there and helping others.

I have been a CNA for 10 years, and have worked in all different situations in many different facilities. I aspire to go further with my nursing degree, and eventually, hopefully become an RN like my mom. I enjoy being a caregiver because it gives me a sense of purpose, I enjoy helping people. Many life lessons held dearest to my heart, came from the facility where I worked my first 2 years as a CNA. I currently work PRN for an agency based out of Indianapolis. Although I am through an agency, I have been steadily picking up at a facility in Franklin for over 5 years. I am searching for a PRN or part time option closer to home. During my childhood years, caring for my elderly grandparents was a part of my everyday life. They had several health issues and were in and out of hospitals frequently. I was exposed to caregivers in many different settings. The impact that kind, compassionate and informative care-giving made all the difference to me and my family. At the age of 12, I knew nursing was what I wanted to do with my life. As I pursued nursing, I started out caring for patients in a nursing home as a nursing assistant. I loved this, as I got to care for clients, just like my grandparents. The opportunity to establish connections with clients week-to-week was special! After nursing school, I moved to caring for patients in a hospital setting as a Registered Nurse. The hospital experiences have given me a broad scope of skills, whether it is assisting patients with basic self-care needs, changing dressings, managing ventilators or providing education, being able to establish a rapport with patients and their family's is still one of the favorite parts of my job. I love being able to help people understand what is going on with their health and their treatment plan. Just as others demonstrated to my own family, I want each of my clients and their family members to feel safe, cared for and heard.

Hello, there. My name is Mariah and I'm a hardworking, down to earth country girl. I enjoy spending my free time reading, going on long walks with my dog, hiking, sipping hot tea and cooking. I'm an excellent cook and I have culinary training. I've always been interested in caregiving ever since I was a child. Babysitting for family members turned into me becoming a professional nanny at age 22. I also grew up with my elderly father in the house and was his primary caretaker while my mother worked 2 full time jobs. I had to go to high school online to stay home and help take care of my father. Which, if I'm being honest, I wasn't too excited about missing out on high-school...but now when I look back, those are the memories I cherish most with my father because it was just he and I. I'd drive him to run errands, cook for him, we'd play games and watch the history channel. It made me happy to see him full of life even though I knew he was struggling. I've overcome a lot of obstacles in life and I'm very thankful to be where I am today.
