I am at a place in my life where I have found that giving back is what life is actually all about. I have a high level of integrity and apply my very best at anything that I do. One of my proudest achievements was putting myself through phlebotomy school especially when the odds seemed to be stacked against me (which also means that I have medical experience and have been CPR certified).

I have worked as a hands-on LPN staff nurse for many years in elder care. I enjoy it when I am able to make my patients happy and see their health status well maintained. I am a firm believer in the Lord God almighty and view taking care of others a natural part of my Christian walk.

As a Christian, I approach caregiving with compassion and kindness. I am happy to do devotions and pray with clients, but would never disrespect their religious preferences. I have been married to my husband for 9 years. We have a huge passion for loving others, connecting with the community, and giving second chances. I am very passionate about child welfare, and currently foster teenagers through the IN Dept of Child Services. We have an adopted 16 year old daughter. I look forward to connecting!

I enjoy helping others in a variety of capacities. I have worked for a handful of individuals who have had SCI's and am constantly amazed by their determination and their ability to continue on with life. I feel that I am constantly learning and would love to pass on my knowledge to others. I feel that my job isn't "cookie cutter", it is truly about making the life of my client easier in whatever way possible. No task is too small if it is what needs to be done. My parents taught me two things that I try to incorporate into every job that I have. One to leave things better than you found it, and to do what needs to be done, before you are asked to do it. I am very good with details, and while it may take me a day or two to learn a new schedule or program, I know that I will be doing it the way that you want it done. With my experience with SCI, people don't have a lot of control over their own lives, and I make it my first priority to give as much of it back to you as I can.

I became a CNA/caregiver/home health aide because I honestly believe in truly compassionate care for people in need whether is the geriatrics, pediatrics, or the mentally impaired or psych or a combination of all the above. I enjoy knowing that I have helped someone get through another day on this earth with their family and if they don't have any family at least they know someone was there for them when it was needed and proof that there are still nice, caring, and honest people out there.

I have an outgoing and very caring and compassionate personality. I was first attracted to becoming a caregiver in 98 two years after graduating from high school. I wanted to give back to others who have given soo much of their love and compassion to their own families and friends over the years, back to them. I enjoy most about being a caregiver being able to make another happy, and stress free by being able to take care of all their needs. A personal achievement of mine is when I earned my certification as a C.N.A yrs. ago after taking classes and doing clinicals.
