I love being a caregiver because I enjoy helping people. I've been in healthcare since I was 16 years old, starting off as a dietary aide and then furthering my career in a long term care facility where I got my CRMA license. I'm a very outgoing and talkative person, I think that is what makes me a good caregiver. Not to mention i'm always reliable, i'm always somewhere when i'm supposed to be.

Hello everyone, My name is Ashley and I have about 7 years of experience being a caregiver. I enjoy being a caregiver because it's important to me that I help individuals continue to stay as independent as possible so they are able to remain in their homes.

I am a caring person I've been a care giver for about 3 years and my grandmother was a caregiver for over 30 years and taught me all I know besides being a medical assistant and other trainings . But caring for others loved ones brings me so much joy.

Kindness, compassion, and empathy are vital in being a caregiver. I feel that when caring for someone's family member it is important to remember that they too were once young, and spry. They deserve respect and dignity as if they were a family member of my own. I have been a CNA in the past, and spending those extra minutes to do a residents hair, or shave a residents face just the way he likes it is so important in helping them to feel like a person. I care for a close family friend now after my regular work hours because I enjoy spending the time with her and helping her with activities of daily living but also encouraging and supporting her in maintaining the independence that she is able to safely have. A personal achievement that I am proud of is maintaining my CNA licensure while working a full time MA job. I did this so that I could continue to work with residents on weekends when I am able because they truly hold a special place in my heart.

I have been a care giver 27 years and have done everything from the range of in home care to nursing homes and hospitals.. I have experienced all types of patients as far as mental health, long term care, pre and post surgical care, telemetry care, special care , altimizers care and hospice care.

Hello! I have been a caregiver for most of my life, and my career. I am a caregiver at heart and find that the most important thing in life is to be kind, work hard and take care of those placed in your path. I have been caring for the aged and those with dementia for over 25 years. In my past, I had a residential care home and an Adult Day Center and they were the best 15 years of my life! Caregiving allows one to be part of something bigger than yourself. Giving of yourself, whether it is a helping hand, assisting someone to do something they can no longer do by themselves, and providing care at a level of compassion and patience that one would expect if the shoe was on the other foot. To me, it's about what you leave behind - touch someone's life for the better.

I became a cna my junior year of high school knowing it would be a good start to my healthcare career. I have worked in facilities and the hospital setting. I also spent 6 years doing in home care & hospice , which I prefer because u get the time to do better care & get to focus all your energy on One person at a time versuses 5 or 10.You can connect with a person better in their own environment & I enjoy being able to help people stay in there homes when without help it may not be possible. I'm currently enrolled in a bachelor's of nursing program a nd hope to receive my degree in 4 years. My nursing degree has been my lifelong goal & I can't wait to be able to help people in a whole new way.
