I feel what makes me a great caregiver are a few reasons: I'm experienced in this field, I'm patient and I know what to expect and how to handle whatever occurs from the job. I became a caregiver because it was similar to the very first job I had, which was a patient attendant at U of M Hospital, that was a rewarding job that I enjoyed, and ever since then I've been in this field most of my time working. I like being a caregiver because I like helping people, and the job is very rewarding despite things that may occur on the job. I have my CNA diploma.

What makes me a good caregiver is that I am caring, compassionate, honest, dependable. I have always had a passion for taking care of people. I enjoy seeing people happy and healthy. I am proud that I assisted one of my clients with achieving her health goal of getting off insulin. I have been doing homecare for over 15 years. I also have four years experience in a manager position. I also have hoyer lift and end of life experience.

I"m a Certified Nurse Assistant who go above and beyond for my patients. I'm a active listener and a fast leaner making me more than just a caregiver. My patience, empathy and observation skill make me a special caregiver. I enjoy doing sometime they cannot do for themself.

What makes me a great caregiver, is the love and passion I have to be one to care for another. I enjoy doing it, im not in it for the paycheck, I do it because it makes me feel good knowing I can help someone. I always grew up wanting to help others in one way or another.. I enjoy the smiles I can give someone simply by being there to assist them, knowing someone enjoys my care makes my heart swell. My biggest personal achievement I am proud of, is, my son.

I specialize in many walks of life. I have worked in rehab as well as long term. I am covid vaccinated with booster and cpr certified.

I was born in a caregiver role as a child. I took care of my siblings when I was much younger. When I was in middle school my grandmother had an operation on her back and I took care of her until she was able to take care of herself. I was in school and I wanted to take care of the elderly. So I took a C.N.A. course and I worked at the School of Nursing. I worked with an elderly woman privately and I enjoyed watching movies with her. She loved Forrest Gump. I like the assignment that I have. I got her walking when they said she couldn't walk, I got her up from being bed bound twice. I had to help her. First we crawled, then she stood up, balance was our next step, and then a few steps here, and then full walking transfers! They said she is a walking miracle. I am proud of myself that I was able to follow doctors orders, nurse orders, P.T. and O.T. exercises.

I have been working doing care giving since i was 12 when my aunt had a hernia removed and the nurses that came in started showing me how to change the dressings and change her iv tubing. I have worked in health care most of my life. I took care of my mom and grandparents. I was trained at UofM wound care clinic for my mom. I also went to school for medical assistant. I experience taking care of wounds, autistic, dementia,Alzheimer's, people with hearing and vision and who are bed bound. Ive worked with people on hospice. I love helping others and taking care of them and helping them living there best life. I love listening to the stores people tell me. Especially the elderly the stories they tell sometimes have great lessons behind them. I still talk to some of my cleints i took care of they message me or if i see them out at the store they come up and give me hugs and tell me how much they love and miss me which makes me feel good and that i could be a positive person in their lives. I have had cleints that had noone else and who i made a differnece in their lives when they thought no one cared about them. One of my personal achievements is i dropped out of high school to take care of my mom so after she passed i was in my 20s i went back to school got my GED and went to college.
